Why Support Facing History?
Facing History helps teachers and students around the world find new ways to confront the difficult issues of the past and present. We provide middle and high school educators with tools for teaching history and ethics, and for helping their students learn to combat prejudice with compassion, indifference with participation, and myth and misinformation with knowledge.
Each Facing History teacher is estimated to reach 100 students each year. That means your gift will help reach 1.9 million students every year with an education that encourages the skills, promotes the values, and fosters the ideals needed to sustain a democratic society. With your help, we can offer our program to teachers at little or no cost to them and their schools.

What Your Gift Supports
In Facing History we learned that indifference is the enemy… that each person is worth something, each story is important, each survivor a miracle, each victim a tragedy, each perpetrator worth trying to understand for the sake of all of us.
A donation at any level will underwrite our work with the 28,000 trained educators who depend on us for our resources and ongoing support. Here are a few ways your gift can help:
$50 can provide a teacher with an individual curriculum planning consultation
$100 can add an educational video to our lending library collection
$500 can underwrite a class set of Facing History and Ourselves resource books for a school
$1,000 can underwrite the participation of two teachers in a multi-week online seminar
$2,500 can give one teacher a scholarship for a summer seminar, a class set of resource books and a year of follow-up support for a teacher new to Facing History
$5,000 can underwrite a full-day educator workshop or in-service session
